金属シリコンは、フェロシリコン、炭化ケイ素、シリカ、シリコーンおよびポリシリコンとは異なる。アルミニウム鋳造では GB/T 2881 等級、Fe/Al/Ca 上限、粒度および対象合金の確認が必要であり、シリコーンまたはポリシリコン向けでは、合意した B、P、C、Ti その他の微量元素、反応性およびロット COA も必要となる。市場名 421、441、553 は検索用の別名であり、正式な SKU/TDS に対応付けられるまでは保証ではない。通常の製鋼におけるシリコン添加または脱酸には一般にフェロシリコンを使用する。粉末、3N/4N、太陽電池級、電子級および電池級は、この一般ページの標準供給範囲外である。

製品製造プロセス

工業用シリコンは通常、石英と炭素質還元剤を原料としてサブマージドアーク炉または専用電気炉で炭素熱還元し、取鍋に出湯して精製した後、鋳造、冷却、破砕、ふるい分け、検査を経て商用の塊状品または粒状品となる。原料配合、炉および精製方法は生産者により異なる。

GB/T 2881—2023 は Fe、Al、Ca の上限で等級を区分し、計算式を nominal Si = 100% − (Fe + Al + Ca) とする。市場呼称の 421、441、553 は完全な発注仕様ではなく、シリコーンまたはポリシリコン向けでは、合意した微量元素と反応性も必要となる。
