Start with the selection boundary

This product is natural dolomite for steelmaking, not light-burnt dolomite; each requires a separate SKU, TDS and charging model.

Product manufacturing process

A natural-mineral steelmaking auxiliary is generally selectively quarried from a qualified source, cleared of foreign matter, crushed, screened, homogenized, sampled and tested for chemistry, mineralogy and sizing. This route excludes calcination; light burning or another heat treatment requires a different product identity.

APPLICATION METHOD

Use scenarios, method, effect and risk validation

Natural dolomite can be a candidate CaO/MgO source in BOF/EAF charges, but loss on ignition, decomposition heat demand, other charge carry-in and target slag MgO require mass and heat balances. Correct batching can supply the target slag; treating it as light-burnt dolomite or lime can distort reactivity, heat load, dose and lining-protection decisions. Verify by slag samples, temperature and furnace response; no fixed replacement ratio applies.
