Start with the selection boundary

Well filler is not mould flux, tundish cover, starter powder or ladle cover; its role is nozzle filling and free opening, not molten-steel surface coverage.

PRODUCT MANUFACTURING

Product manufacturing process

Ladle well filler is generally prepared from verified refractory minerals and any necessary sintering modifiers. A general workflow includes mineral-identity and cleanliness review, drying, crushing/screening, metered multi-size proportioning, homogenization, flow/sintering/penetration-related testing and rigorous moisture-protected packing. The actual mineral system and proportions belong to the supplier TDS.

APPLICATION METHOD

Use scenarios, method, effect and risk validation

During ladle preparation, clean and inspect the upper nozzle, well block and slide gate, then fill uniformly by geometry and the specified method; keep dry and prevent segregation, underfilling and steel/slag contamination. A matched size/sintering window can improve free-opening stability; moisture, excessive sintering, steel penetration or underfilling can cause failure to free-open, oxygen lancing and personnel risk. Verify with free-opening, residual-filler, ladle-cycle and incident records; it is not for bath-surface coverage.
